Cubellis Celebrates Success as Visionary Sponsor of 2008 AIA National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts Firm sponsors convention, scholarships as investment in the future

BOSTON, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Cubellis, a national architecture, interior design and engineering services firm, supported the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) as Visionary Sponsor at this year's AIA National Convention and Design Exposition.

In conjunction with this highest level of sponsorship, Cubellis demonstrated its commitment to the future of the A/E/C industry by sponsoring 20 scholarships. The scholarships enabled young professionals to attend the convention and participate in the national gathering of some 23,000 American architects in the firm's headquarters' office city.

Cubellis also participated in a series of high-profile events taking place outside of the convention hall: leading walking tours, hosting "Dinner by Design" in the firms' new Summer Street office, serving as a headline sponsor of the Host City Party at the Boston Public Library, and highlighting the firm's work at Fenway Park during "Breakfast at the Ballpark."

The Design Forward Lounge room was full to capacity as party goers attentively listened to speeches by Marshall Purnell, FAIA (President of the AIA), Carol Wedge, FAIA (newly elected) and Cubellis President and CEO, Len Cubellis, as they addressed the inaugural scholarship winners and the many other attendees. Each spoke of opportunity in the design field and the scholarship recipients' role in shaping the future of the profession.
